TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION TYPE 1 de-/anti-icing fluid AMS 1424 certified Product description TYPE 1 is a propylene glycol based de-icing fluid product used for ground de-icing of the aircraft. The non-corrosive and triazole-free formulation product contains an enhanced low foaming surfactant and dye package which gives excellent surface wetting and allows easy identification on treated surfaces. This readily biodegradable fluid is only used four ground deicing and does not guarantee further protection against icing during flight or take-off.
