New Sportiness The Cross Country Sportster is the result of an extensive development process. A new set-up has completely freed SIGMA 10 design from its predecessor, and enables it to reset a genuine performance benchmark in the C class. A new profile provides both balanced pitch behaviour and a high degree of directional stability, encouraging relaxed flying on long transits. 11 % fewer lines thanks to a new line setup Less lines, more performance: even with 7 more cells the SIGMA 10 has 11 % fewer line metres compared to the previous Sigma. The resulting performance boost is clear to see. The latest uncovered Edelrid Magix Pro aramid lines are very lowstretch and far outperform conventional covereds in terms of strength and kink resistance. Complex Sliced Diagonal Structure Despite the 10 % increase in cell count the total of support points has reduced by 15%. Sliced Diagonal technology makes this possible. This design technique provides perfect load sharing and distribution within the canopy. Innovative 3D-Diamond-Shaping The SIGMA 10’s 3D-Diamond-Shaping is a completely new component-preparation feature. A diagonal alignment rule included in the 3D-Shaping now compensates for the seam gathering in a better way because of the use of vertical rib tensions, as well as the horizontal aerodynamic forces.
