The PAGE PLB-108 is a portable reactive load bank designed for testing 400Hz service points, simulating aircraft loads. It is used in conjunction with resistive load banks to achieve a 0.8 power factor lagging, as specified in MIL-STD-704F.
The PLB-108 can load two service points simultaneously, each up to 90 kVA, with nine settings up to 108 kVAR. It can also test a single output at 200% of its rated load. The load bank features digital displays and multi-function meters for monitoring phase current and voltage, with an accuracy of ±2 percent.
The top of the PLB-108 is designed to support two Dekal model ALB-100D resistive load banks in a staggered configuration, ensuring adequate airflow. Both outputs can be loaded simultaneously to simulate a full dual connection 90KVA aircraft load profile.
The load profiles are detailed for various KVA sources, combining reactive and resistive loads to achieve the desired power factor for 115/200 volt 400 Hz loads. For example, a 10 KVA source combines 6 KVAR reactive load with 8 KW resistive load.
Test jacks are available for optional digital meter use to monitor phase voltage. E&F selections are included for each output.

PLB-108400Hz Reactive Load Bank The PAGE PLB-108 reactive load bank is portable and for use in testing 400Hz service points requiring an inductive load profile to simulate aircraft loads. Used with resistive load banks, the resulting yield can be adjusted to a 0.8 power factor lagging which is specified in MIL-STD-704F. The PLB-108 reactive load bank is capable of loading two service points simultaneously to their maximum rating of 90 kVA each and has nine settings up to 108 kVAR. The reactive bank can be configured so a single output can be tested at 200% of its rated load. Operation The PAGE Reactive Load Bank incorporates digital displays. The multi-function meters monitor multiple parameters including individual phase current and voltage (line-to-neutral). The instrumentation is kept simple and direct, minimizing the chance of operator error. Instrument accuracy is ±2 percent.
