BEACON 1 : AIRPORT BEACON BEACON 2 : HELIPORT BEACON Compliance with standards The Airport Rotating Beacon identifies the location of an airport from a distance and is designed for use at commercial and regional The rotating beacon consists of two main assemblies; an upper part with a rotating shaft equipped with three (heliports) or four (airport) high intensity lamp units and a base part with motor, gear assembly, control unit and electrical connections. The BEACON is switched on and off from the Airfield Ground Lighting remote control console. • High reliability • Housing in aluminium alloy coated in aviation orange • Lamp heads in aluminium alloy • Three lamp heads for heliport • Four lamp heads for Airport; two lamps are used as back-up and will automatically be energized in case of failure of one of the on duty lamps • Optional obstruction light AIRPORT LIGHTING EQUIPM
