Meeting the Challenge The ability of a prepreg system to deliver consistent and high mechanical strength is directly correlated with keeping the laminate void content as low as possible. TenCate prepreg systems go through rigorous evaluations both mechanically and under NDI (non-destructive inspection) conditions to assure that the materials will perform robustly in vacuum only processing. TC275-1 is a toughened epoxy prepreg designed for “out-ofautoclave” low cure pressure part fabrication. TC275-1 is an excellent choice for the creation of thick (100+ plies) parts, as it provides extremely low levels of porosity. With the ability to develop full properties without a post cure, TC275-1 can stand up to the challenges of aerospace environments and loads.
