Performance Coated Solutions 5000 Series Film Release Liners The Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics 5000 Series of film release liners are based on tin catalyzed silicone release coatings designed for easy and controlled releases for multiple-film bases. Easy Release (≤ 30 grams per 2" peel) • 5014 – For thermoformable films. • 5018 – Our most popular, suitable for most films. Excellent optical properties. Moderate Release (30-100 grams per 2" peel) • 5029 – Moderate release used with super clear polyester. • 5018 – Our most popular, suitable for most films. Excellent optical properties. Advantages • Easy, smooth release • Compatible with most adhesives • Excellent clarity and optics • Multiple film bases and gauges • Thermoformable formulations available Limitations • Limited availability on heatsensitive films • Not ideal for solvent-sensitive films Tight Release (>100 grams per 2" peel) • Poor abrasion resistance • Longer process time and lead time • Not available for coated two side • 5032 – Tight release for use on polyester. • 5035 – Tight release for use on polyester.
