The Measurement Laboratory takes advantage of the remarkable expertise in applied electromagnetism and signature management that IDS has acquired over a number of decades and provides its capabilities both to the company’s divisions and to external customers. The Measurement Laboratory has in house facilities to offer measurement services in different application fields. When requested by the customer, the laboratory can also provide field services using its own instruments (e.g. when testing should be on site due to security regulations, in case of testing an entire platform, for environmental field monitoring etc.). MEASUREMENT LABORATORY Facilities Integrated Measurement Solutions The Measurement Laboratory’s equipment includes custom and COTS instruments and tools, e.g.: • Planar scanner (for both indoor & outdoor operations), featuring a 10m x 5m useful scan area, for radar imaging and near field antenna measurements • Vector Network Analyzers (100 kHz up to 50 GHz) • PULSER: Customized VNA front-end for high-power and pulsed measurements (1-20 GHz), with waveform agility • Spectrum analyzers/EMI receiver (9 kHz – 26.5 GHz) • Azimuth and azimuth-over-elevation positioners (loads up to 11 tons) • NRL...
